"Gordon Meggison is the artist's artist. His exceptional talent as a painter is expressed in a myriad of ways, but most notably in murals, a field that holds few equals of his caliber. He is a perpetual student of the visionaries in the art field who have walked before him, sages from history to whom he returns to again and again for inspiration. But he also has a constant eye on the horizon for the contemporary influences that daily come his way. As a teacher, he does not hesitate to share his wealth of knowledge with his students. And no matter their talent level or familiarity with the brush, his patience is present for everyone. I truly admire Gordon for his ability to express on the canvas that which we mere mortals can only struggle to frame with words. In that language written in paint, we see his love of classical and eastern leaning sensibilities that have guided his work for decades. Owning a Meggison art piece, whether it is on canvas, panel, or as a mural on a wall, is an honor that everyone should have in their lifetime.
